THOUGHTS FROM OUR VOLUNTEERS

I’m just getting back to Philadelphia and want to thank you for your leadership on this trip and personally transporting me on arrival and departure. I hope you were able to see your family for your aunt’s funeral and celebrate her life. You, like Obed, are extraordinary people that exude goodness. Fortune also has such a positive vibe surrounding her. I look forward to the success that sparked from this mission. I am still devastated by the degree of poverty and lack of access to healthcare. Tanzania and Kenya had similar areas with the land is rich with resources. Well, my gut tells me that it is hard for you to take time for yourself, I will beg you to do a Safari in the future. It is truly God‘s glory on earth. To see animals in a National Geographic setting is beyond anything I can describe. Hope to see you in the future - Terri

The trip itself was more than I ever imagined it would be. The time in Kpassa was so meaningful and very eye opening in terms of the people and the health care system. I think we did a lot of good and am certain that with this as our first attempt, can only do more for the people of Kpassa in the future. The time in Accra was also amazing and you put together a wonderful series of events that showed us so much about the history and culture. I feel so lucky to have been there as part of this group. An American "tourist" might have had more creature comforts (I am referring to Kassa of course!) but the experience would have been far less rich. I don't have to tell you (since you did it) that putting together a mission and trip such as this is no small task and it went SO WELL. It was a privilege to spend time with everyone, from the MLH gang to the people from IMAGHE and from the church, and of course the people of Kassa and those we met in Accra. Honestly I am still processing the experience and feel so lucky that I was able to be a small part of it. So thank you again. And thank you for the continued patient follow up. I certainly hope I see you again before you finish your training at Lankenau. Sincerely, Susan
